Accessibility

Tenth Lane LLC wants everyone to be able to use our website and Day Dancer, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, voice control, or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What we’ve done

  • Every feature, including the task list, timer, and forms, works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
  • A “Skip to main content” link appears first on every page.
  • Text meets WCAG color-contrast requirements in both light and dark mode.
  • Form fields have labels, and status messages, such as a saved signup or a finished timer, are announced to screen readers.
  • Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Animation is turned off when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Pages can be zoomed to 200% and used on small screens without losing content.

Known limitations

  • The focus timer announces when time is up, but it does not read out every second, so it doesn’t interrupt your screen reader. You can check the remaining time at any point.
  • We test with keyboards and automated tools, and we are still expanding our testing with screen readers across all platforms. We have not yet completed an independent accessibility audit.
